Editorial policy
Rising Design Review aims to make changing design ideas legible without making them sound more certain, established or consequential than the available information supports.
Accuracy and context
We check names, descriptions and claims against the material available to us, and distinguish fact from interpretation. When a design direction is new or unsettled, we say so rather than presenting early signals as settled consensus. We do not claim to have conducted research or testing unless the article clearly explains what was done.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for their relevance to readers. Paid collaborations and other partner material are clearly labelled so readers can tell when content has a commercial relationship. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial endorsement.
Corrections and illustrations
If a reader identifies a material error, we review the point and correct the article when warranted. Illustrations may be AI-generated; where they are, they are identified as such. Illustrative images are not evidence that a depicted design, object or setting exists.
New design begins as a question
We look for the early choices, materials and ideas that suggest where design could go, without mistaking a passing spark for a settled direction.
